This work personifies Gaia, represented as a female figure contemplating the Earth she holds. A tear slides down her cheek, silent testimony of her sorrow as much as of her deep love for the world she has engendered.
Through this divine face imbued with emotion, the work evokes the fragility of our planet, the responsibility we bear towards it and the pain of the Mother in the face of what escapes her. An intimate and powerful image of the sacred bond between the Earth and the one who embodies it.
